Officials warn new Pathfinder dock may be short-lived as lake drops eight feet per month
Summary
Staff said a recently anchored boat dock at Pathfinder "probably won't last a week" because lake levels are falling about eight feet per month; limited staff resources limit maintenance options ahead of a big tournament weekend.

Staff told the board that crews set a new anchor for a boat dock about 30 feet out in roughly 4 feet of water but warned the installation may be temporary because lake levels are dropping rapidly.
"It probably won't last a week... the water's dropping 8 feet a month," the staff member said, and added that the board set the anchor as far as practical given available staff and conditions. The staff member said they hoped the dock would endure through an upcoming tournament weekend but acknowledged limited staff resources make frequent adjustments difficult.
Board members noted public concern about the missing dock and asked staff to monitor conditions; no formal action or funding allocation was made at the meeting.
