Board reports advocacy and housing subcommittee activity; interns supporting funding task force

Board Member Patricia Love told the board the Association of California County Boards of Education (ACCBE) Advocacy Committee will meet in August and she looks forward to hearing their priorities. She also said the Board/Superintendent Advocacy Subcommittee continues work on the adequate school funding task force; interns from Senator Becker’s office are conducting research and Ian Bain will compile a report for an August 25 task force meeting and a draft presentation to the board on September 3.
Board Member Beverly Gerard reported that the Workforce Housing Subcommittee met with the Housing Endowment and Regional Trust (HEART) group to view the Crystal Springs Terrace property in San Bruno; she indicated more information will be shared in upcoming meetings.
