Chairman Massey (Transit Safety Committee) announced the committee will begin accepting omnibus license-plate and bridge/road naming amendments and set the deadline to file those amendments for Friday, Feb. 20; his office will circulate instructions to staff. "If you wish to have a road dedicated or a bridge dedicated or a license plate introduced, please be mindful of the February 20 deadline for this year," Massey said.
Chairman Gardener (Judiciary) reminded sponsors that a bill or resolution may be rolled only once in his committee and cautioned that absent sponsors will have bills returned to the clerk's desk for possible withdrawal; he warned the committee faced a heavy caseload in the coming weeks. Chairman Bailey (Commerce) said the committee has no scheduled meeting for the week of Feb. 2 but is coordinating with the Attorney General Committee for a possible joint economic report hearing.
