Board approves extension of county child-care assistance MOU through 2027

Deb Ruttenberg, Director of Human Services, asked commissioners to approve Amendment No. 3 to the county's memorandum of understanding with the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, an extension of the county's role in administering the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. She told the board the amendment continues a contract originally signed in 2023 and extends it through June 30, 2027; the board approved the amendment and authorized signatures.
Commissioners asked procedural questions about routing and signing of documents and were advised staff would notify them when the document is available for signature electronically. The action keeps county administration of child-care assistance in place and maintains the program delivery arrangement with the state.
