The Board considered architectural plans for a new home at 1105 Red Barn Lane (Red Barn Lot 7), presented by Andy Poeppel of Miller Marriott on behalf of Paul and Paula Eberle. Poeppel described an updated modern farmhouse with LP black siding on lower sections, cedar‑finish trim, board‑and‑batten siding above, black Sierra Pacific vinyl windows, a stained wood front door and stone accents at porch bases.
Chair Pro Tem Thedford commented that the home's massing is "modulated effectively through changes in plane and material detail, lending the home a more intimate, bungalow‑like scale." Mr. DiFonzo raised a concern about dark bronze metal accent roofs and the risk that ice could accumulate and slide off over the garage entry; Poeppel said the accent roofs are set at a very low slope, conditioned below, and that in his firm's experience significant ice accumulation has not been an issue. The Board suggested monitoring the condition during winter months.
The architectural plans were approved by a 5-0 vote later in the meeting.
