Planning & Zoning staff proposed creating two part-time positions โ an Electrical Inspector and Plan Reviewer and a Plumbing Inspector and Plan Reviewer โ as a cost-saving alternative to contracting inspection services. John Senn and Milton Ollerton presented the proposed job descriptions and staffing rationale.
Commissioner Young moved to create an Electrical Inspector and Plan Reviewer position at grade 10; Commissioner Clark seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Commissioners then approved creation of the Plumbing Inspector and Plan Reviewer position, also at grade 10. The positions are intended to reduce reliance on external contractors for building inspections and plan review.
