The Town of Greenland will participate in the Exeter Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026 at the Exeter Public Works Garage. Residents must register in advance for time slots between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.; walk-ins are not allowed. According to the meeting record, "Residents will have to pay $15 per vehicle and the Town will cover the remainder of the fees." The Town indicated it will cover the Towns portion of the per-vehicle cost to participate in the regional event.
TA Tucker noted a prior Spring HHW Day in Portsmouth billed $204.80 per car and the Town paid almost $8,000 for 39 cars; she said Greenland hopes the Exeter event will save costs by sharing services among five or six participating towns and dividing costs by population. Signs have been posted and paper registration options will be available at Town Office and Transfer Station.
