County officials heard a presentation June 22 on a proposed transition from the county’s aging Computer Arts dispatch software to Tyler Technologies’ cloud-based public safety suite. Presenters told the Board the change would improve interoperability with neighboring agencies and emergency medical services and provide modern records management and computer-aided dispatch capabilities.
“The estimated implementation costs is approximately $356,615, with ongoing annual costs of approximately $153,930,” the presenters said. Commissioners expressed broad support for modernization but requested additional time to review project costs, identify potential funding sources (including ARPA and partner agency contributions) and evaluate budget impacts before any formal approval. No motion or vote was taken at the meeting.
