On May 11 the Claymont City School District Board approved the superintendent's personnel recommendations, including resignations and new contracts.
The board accepted resignations effective at the end of the school year (Amy Rossi, Clara Warner, Carrie Kunkle, and Samuel Schafer). It approved three-year administrative contracts beginning August 1, 2026 for Middle School Principal Brian Watkins and School Psychologist Nino Pangrazio, and approved multiple certificated and classified staff contracts for the 2026-2027 school year (detailed lists were recorded in the minutes). The board also approved summer custodial hires (two at Class I A step 0 and two summer custodians at $15 per hour for June 1–Aug. 13), and approved Jacob Flood as a summer technology intern at $15 per hour pending proper credentialing.
The motions were moved and seconded and passed on roll-call votes recorded in the minutes. The board extended thanks to retiring teacher Amy Rossi in public remarks.
