House panel suspends 25‑bill limit for upcoming Monday and Thursday calendars

The chair proposed and the committee approved suspending the 25‑bill limit that would otherwise cap the number of bills on Monday and Thursday calendars. The chair said, "Members also before we get started with our regular calendar, without objection, we are going to suspend the 25 bill limit for Monday and Thursday's calendar." Leader Lambert seconded the motion and no opposition was recorded.
By suspending the limit, committee leadership cleared the way for additional bills to be placed on both scheduled floor days without being constrained by the ordinary cap. Clerks and staff will reflect the change when final calendars are published.
