Deer Park council approves Crime Control and Prevention District FY26–27 budget

The Deer Park City Council adopted an ordinance approving the FY 2026–27 budget for the Deer Park Crime Control and Prevention District on Aug. 4, 2026. The city opened a public hearing on the proposed budget, read the hearing notice, issued three calls for testimony and heard none, then proceeded to adopt the budget ordinance.
The city secretary read the published notice for the hearing. Councilman Garrison moved approval and a second was recorded; the motion carried by voice vote. No public testimony was received during the hearing and no amendments to the budget were recorded in the meeting minutes.
