All Faiths Food Bank reports 24% rise in visits as families seek summer food support

Harrelson described the increasing pressure on household budgets — higher gas, housing and utility costs — and said the food bank has seen a 24% rise in visits compared with the prior year, with many families using services for the first time. The food bank also partners with libraries, camps and community centers to distribute weekend snack backpacks for students and to expand access beyond daily meal sites.
