Councilor thanks DPW for quick cleanup, urges budget for preventive tree removal

"So, thanks for cleaning it up, but we wanna make sure we're preventative in the future," Councilor John said, adding a request that the council consider adding dollars to DPW during budget discussions so crews can remove hazardous dead trees before they fall and endanger vehicles or pedestrians.
Councilor Kron and others echoed praise for DPW's quick response on related pothole and street-repair items, saying rapid follow-up to constituent reports demonstrates strong service delivery. The request is advisory at this point; councilors asked the administration to consider the need as the budget process proceeds.
