Parks and Recreation asked the council to purchase loop-lock covers for the Energy Solutions outdoor pool to winterize the facility while maintaining circulation; staff said the covers add a safety benefit because they support weight and reduce risk of accidents. Parks requested the county buy the covers from Landmark Aquatics for $208,950; the council approved the purchase.
The council also approved procurement of 192 horse stalls for the new horse barn in Phase 4 of the Big Cory project. Staff said direct purchase secures better state pricing and the stalls (priced at $327,175.50) will be installed by the contractor as part of the project.
