County Finance staff presented Resolution 2026-22, a package of budget adjustments that included a $350,000 appropriation for right-of-way acquisition for Village Boulevard, a $60,000 increase for insurance premiums, a $14,000 fire cost recovery, rollovers and grant awards (including a $73,000 first-responder mental-health rollover and a $365,000 mitigation grant for Soldier Canyon) and smaller grants for opioid prevention and environmental health. Finance staff said donations for the senior center will be held in a revolving account of about $6,000.
The council opened a public hearing; resident Anita Dowernple asked how the resolution would affect local property taxes and other tax collection mechanisms. Staff responded that the resolution covered specific budget adjustments and that tax impacts would depend on future budget decisions. After closing the hearing, the council voted to adopt Resolution 2026-22.
