Tooele County hires outside nuclear counsel to advise on host agreement

Andy Welch said staff interviewed several firms and found Holland & Hart offered relevant experience across the nuclear lifecycle and could advise on liabilities and protections for the county and its partners.
Council members said the objective is to "find the greatest protection and benefit for the citizens and the county," including school systems and local fire services, and to limit county financial liability. The council approved the hourly contract and emphasized judicious use of outside counsel.
