The Commission confirmed key dates for the Police Lieutenant promotion process: written exams administered by C.O.P.S. are scheduled for Monday, Feb. 9, 2026 at 6:00 PM, and oral exams will take place Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026 during the regular meeting. The final eligibility list is expected to be posted on or after the week of Feb. 18, 2026.
Separately, the Commission set an application deadline for the Police Lateral Transfer Eligibility List of Jan. 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM. The minutes state the Commission will select an oral-exam date after all applications have been completed and submitted to the Police Chief.
