Krista Poganoy of the Des Moines County Health Department told the board the department is ramping up for back‑to‑school immunizations and added clinic dates in August for students.
Poganoy gave concrete dates and times: Aug. 17 and Aug. 21 for 7th and 12th graders, and Aug. 20 for pre‑K, with walk‑in hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. She said additional clinic days are being offered and pointed residents to the county website for the full schedule. The board and health staff encouraged community awareness and said the auditor's office would have the clinic schedules on file for public reference.
No vote or formal action was required; the announcement was filed in the meeting record.
