Mayor Wanda Irish told the council auditors will be at the city Aug. 20 for FY24 fieldwork, and that ALTA Science will take samples at the city beach on Aug. 26 with results expected in the late fall. City Clerk/Treasurer Miriah Pfeiffer reported a current balance of $36,701.68, property tax revenue of $35,906.40, highway user fees of $9,448.00, and a reimbursement of $5,627.32 related to a prior withholding dispute with Kootenai County.
Pfeiffer also said bank statements (May–July) were reconciled with identified discrepancies corrected and that a budget public hearing notice will be published Aug. 13 and 20, with a hearing scheduled for Aug. 27 at 5:00 PM at the Harrison Senior Center.
