Mayor Shaw told the council he will attend a Mayor's Forum on Friday and reported that Centre Street repairs will now be included in the bid package for the city's summer chip-seal project.
"The project will now be included in the bid process for the chip seal project scheduled for summer with TIB money," Mayor Shaw said. Council members did not debate the decision at length; staff will proceed with including the repairs in the bid solicitation.
The mention of TIB funds refers to the Transportation Improvement Board program commonly used by Washington cities to support pavement preservation projects; council did not vote on funding during the meeting and indicated the bid process and project details will return for later review.
