The Rainier City Council on March 10 unanimously approved the meeting agenda and a consent package that included claim vouchers and payroll. The consent items covered Feb. 24, 2026 claim vouchers 8925-8942 and three EFTs totaling $114,557.30, the February 2026 Treasurer’s Report and payroll of $40,653.02, and March 10, 2026 claim vouchers 8950-8963 and two EFTs totaling $25,047.72 (motion Baker/Kemp; passed 5-0).
Councilmembers also appointed Councilmember Roth as Mayor Pro Tem for 2026 by a unanimous 5-0 vote (motion Kemp/A. Baker). Mayor Shaw said she will host the Mayor’s Forum this Friday. The City Attorney noted the model traffic ordinance is outdated and will be brought back for council consideration at a future meeting.
