Chair reported that Colton Aaron, of Bartlett Tree, has a contractor who can perform a tree-canopy inventory and that the board is trying to set a meeting next Monday or Tuesday to answer additional questions and obtain a cost proposal.
"Colton Aaron at Bartlett tree. I just heard from him. He did his they have a contractor who does this work," the chair said, adding the goal is to receive a proposal the board can use either for grant applications or budget planning. The board said it will delay finalizing new grant requests until it receives the inventory estimate so the application reflects realistic costs.
Members framed the inventory as foundational to identifying open planting areas, prioritizing invasive-species removal, and shaping longer-term maintenance planning. The chair said the inventory’s timing will inform whether the board applies in the coming grant round or waits for the next cycle.
