Keely Ellis, chief advancement officer and foundation director for the CNCC Foundation, asked the council to approve the foundation’s annual dinner permit scheduled for April 18, 2026. She described the event as a wine‑and‑beer fundraising dinner, said this is her third year before the council and explained the ID and wristband plan to manage alcohol service: "We will put a wristband on anyone over the age of 21 as they come in the door."
Keely said bartenders will also check ID where necessary and that the event will take place in the Colorado Room on campus as in past years. A council member moved to approve the special event permit, a second was offered, and the motion carried.
