The Town Council approved a special-event permit for the Rainsley Hospital Foundation's "Crab Crack" fundraiser scheduled for Feb. 14, 2026 at the Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) Colorado Room.
"My name is Sierra Black, and I'm the foundation director," Sierra Black (S4) told the council, describing the foundation's plan. "The foundation board is providing our own bartenders for this through board members," she said, and added that volunteers will check IDs and the event will use wristbands so staff do not have to repeatedly check identification.
Council recorded the motion as made by Tim and seconded by Andy and approved the permit with one abstention. Staff noted the foundation will manage alcohol transport and cleanup and that the foundation board members will serve as bartenders.
