Harrison council approves consent items, certifies election and authorizes settlement signature

At its Jan. 13 meeting the Harrison City Council approved routine bills and minutes, certified the Nov. 4, 2025 election, authorized the mayor to sign settlement documents for the Coeur d’Alene–Spokane River Basin Water System (one no vote), and completed multiple appointments and swearing-ins.
Mayor Wanda Irish called the Harrison City Council to order at 6:00 PM on Jan. 13, 2026 at the Harrison Senior Center. The council approved the consent calendar — including payment of December 2025 bills and approval of Dec. 9, 2025 minutes — by unanimous vote.
The council also certified the Nov. 4, 2025 general election results after a motion by Councilmember John Gray, and authorized the mayor to sign settlement documents related to the Coeur d’Alene–Spokane River Basin Water System following a motion from Councilmember Charlie Shutt; Councilmember Will Butler cast the lone NAY on that measure. Multiple committee appointments and swearing-ins took place, and the council announced an executive session under Idaho Code 74-206(1)(f) to consult legal counsel on imminent litigation. The meeting adjourned at 7:30 PM.
