The East Lampeter Board of Supervisors approved updating the township mileage reimbursement rate to 76cents per mile following the IRS update.
Staff explained the IRS recently raised the rate from 72.5cents to 76cents. "So that would increase it to 76cents per mile," staff said. Supervisors asked about the effective date; staff and board referenced July and the transcript records the board's adoption effective 07/01/2026.
The board noted that staff normally uses township vehicles and reimbursement applies in rare cases when personal vehicles are used. The motion to adopt the new rate passed by voice vote.
