The Rockland Planning Board voted 4-0 on June 23 to approve site and design review for an addition at 56 and 82 Webster Street that would add 34,000 square feet and 12 beds, bringing the facility’s capacity to 122 beds. Charles Williams moved the approval with conditions; Randy Hoblitzelle seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The approval was contingent on a set of conditions spelled out in the motion: incorporation of all Form K requirements, satisfaction of ZBA conditions (the ZBA had already approved the 122-bed request), consolidation of the two parcels under a single owner via Form A before construction, and completion of the required parking lot improvements prior to starting work. The applicants told the board they are providing 61 parking spaces where 59 are required and will install signage along Webster Street to manage on‑street parking.
