Village amends liquor-license quota after Taco Pros surrenders beer license

The Village Board on July 20 approved Resolution 04-O-26 to amend the village liquor-license quota after Taco Pros closed and surrendered its beer license, removing one license from the quota.
Chairperson Craig Schaefer introduced the resolution and explained the change reflects the vacancy created by Taco Pros' closure. Village Administrator Egan confirmed Taco Pros surrendered a beer license only, not a full liquor license. Schaefer said leaving the quota unchanged would force new applicants to petition the board for approval; the amendment instead aligns the quota with current licenses. The motion to approve the resolution passed by roll call with Trustees Greenfield, Edgar, Schuettke, Schaefer and President Stalewski voting aye.
