"Preparations are complete for National Night Out tomorrow, 6 to 8 p.m. at the community center," the chief said. He thanked partner agencies, nonprofits and businesses that donated time or materials to support the evening and noted the department's recent enforcement activity: 88 traffic stops (60 warnings and 28 citations), three scooter education contacts and 206 calls for service since the prior reporting period.
The chief said officers are continuing community policing and outreach with school staff ahead of the new school year and will continue evening education sessions to help parents and youth understand safe riding practices.
