Councilman Givens presented a resolution establishing a temporary suspension on the acceptance, processing and approval of applications related to data-center development and moved adoption. "This is a resolution of city of Gallatin establishing a temporary suspension on the acceptance, processing, and approval of application related to data center development," he said.
Council voted unanimously to adopt the suspension. Members said the pause will allow staff and council to consider a comprehensive data-center moratorium and any necessary policy or zoning adjustments before new applications proceed.
