The Claymont board opened its Feb. 9 meeting by recognizing staff and student teams for recent accomplishments and thanking maintenance and custodial personnel for their work during recent weather events.
Recognitions included Taryn Householder as a CORAS Outstanding Elementary Teacher recipient, the high‑school Mock Trial team (advisor Heather Dotts), Power of the Pen team (advisors Alisha Mahaffey and Lindsey Tulak) and Scholar Challenge team (advisor Brian Schilling) for placing third in the IVC competition. Ms. Campbell specifically thanked maintenance/custodial staff for keeping grounds and buildings safe after recent severe weather.
