Commission retables Frontier Gateway item, asks staff for earlier presentation materials
Summary
The commission pulled Item 5 (Frontier Gateway preliminary site plan) off the table then re-tabled it and asked staff to provide presentations earlier. Commissioners requested longer work sessions for heavy agendas and a potential scheduling change for the December meeting.
At the Aug. 4 meeting the commission briefly addressed Item 5, a preliminary site plan for the Frontier Gateway development at Dallas Parkway and Frontier Parkway. The item was pulled from the table for clarification and then re-tabled by a 7–0 vote to allow further review.
Commissioners asked staff to share presentation materials in advance where possible and suggested lengthening and/or starting the work session earlier when packets contain many complex exhibits. Staff said it can provide PD components and other information in advance but warned some last-minute presentation elements may not be complete two weeks prior to a meeting.
Commissioners also discussed scheduling a December meeting to avoid a conflict with a large community event and agreed that moving the December meeting to the following Wednesday was acceptable in principle.
