Superintendent Bryan DeAugustine told trustees that the district's sinking fund project at Aspen Ridge is on budget and on schedule. He also noted a planned Lansing trip with the Marquette County Ambassadors that will be scheduled when school sessions allow. The superintendent's report was delivered as part of routine board updates.
High school principal/administrator Cliff Fossitt invited community members to chaperone high school dances, thanked the Ishpeming Township Fire Department for recent assistance and reported that Rep. Bergman donated four snowmobiles to the power sports class. Fossitt also provided concurrent enrollment figures for the district's partnership with Northern Michigan University: Biology — 15 students; English — 40 students; Statistics — 29 students.
