City staff recommended awarding a contract to Tri Pacific Heating & Air for $69,426 to install HVAC at the Atrium event building at Oso Creek Golf Course, and a not-to-exceed $40,000 amendment to David Electric for supporting electrical upgrades. Administrative staff said the Atrium has proven popular since opening and the HVAC is intended to lower interior temperatures by about 20 degrees to allow the venue to operate comfortably during warm months.
The council moved the item after a brief staff report noting 18 booked private events and staff projected construction to be completed by the end of April. The motion passed on a verbal vote amid technology issues that required some roll-call items to be handled verbally.
