Staff postpones two presentations to May; previews Soroptimist and Venetians volunteer program

Director Dunleavy told commissioners that two outside groups scheduled to present that evening would instead appear at the May 14 meeting due to a scheduling mix-up. She asked commissioners to review information online before the May presentation.
"1st was the Soroptimist, and they have a scoop closet that is located at the Benicia Community Center," Dunleavy said, describing services that provide basic household items to families in need. She also previewed "Venetians Adopting Venetians," a volunteer recruitment effort working with public works to pair volunteers with city projects. Staff asked commissioners to consider inviting community groups to highlight programs at future meetings.
