District staff summarized sunshine proposals submitted by the certificated (faculty) and classified bargaining units and explained which contract articles each side has 'sunshined' for the upcoming negotiation cycle. Staff said many faculty proposals are language cleanups while others cover compensation, benefits, leaves, evaluations, class size and unit member rights.
"Their proposal includes the following articles, compensation, health and welfare, leaves, grievance procedures, hours and work year, evaluations, class size, and unit member rights," staff said. The public hearing was opened and closed with no public comments. The board motioned and approved the sunshine notices so formal negotiations may begin for the 2025–26 school and fiscal year.
