Midvale Arts Council reports nine concerts, theater productions and growing arts programs in 2024

Wade Walker, chairman and president of the Midvale Arts Council, presented the council’s annual update. He said the group held nine concerts with 124 artists and drew "over 2800 people attending the free events" in 2024, produced three theater shows, introduced a free movie month with more than 120 attendees, and staged a Sondheim tribute revue with roughly 50 performers and 750 attendees.
Walker introduced the Hall of Honors recipient, Hal Hale, and credited Midvale City and Public Works for maintenance and funding support for the Performing Arts Center. He said the Arts Council will continue prior programs in 2025, hopes to add a sidewalk chalk art event tied to the Mural Festival, and is seeking new partnerships since a previous partner’s performing arts center in West Jordan will no longer be available for some activities.
