Superintendent posts student board vacancy; district discloses five FOIA requests

Superintendent J. Henry said a student board member vacancy notice was posted Sept. 3 and one application had been received; the district also provided copies of five FOIA requests from North Egypt News.
Superintendent J. Henry informed the Board that, following a recent amendment to Board Policy 2:40, he posted the School Board Student Member vacancy notice on Sept. 3, 2024. As of the meeting, the District had received one application; Mr. Henry recommended allowing about three more weeks for additional applications before the Board considers candidates.
Mr. Henry also provided the Board with copies of five Freedom of Information Act requests submitted by North Egypt News and the District's responses, which were provided to the Board for review and information. The ROE #21 notice about funds distributed to the District was also attached for board information.
