Geof Brown and James Young, members of the Weston Planning Commission, presented the commission’s two-year, state-funded bylaw modernization program covering January 2026 through December 2027. The plan calls for a community survey in summer 2026, a public session on Sept. 10 and a monthly bylaw review beginning in October; the presenters said the project will align with Act 181 and address upcoming 2028 floodplain requirements.
Patty Greene-Pawelczyk told the board the statutory 15-day posting requirement for a warned hearing had been missed; after discussion the Selectboard agreed to repost the hearing warning and scheduled the hearing for June 9, 2026.
