Rowe said the fast-track removes a Land Use Review Commission hearing to meet the 90-day timeline but provides flexibility in the form of one developer-requested 90-day extension and staff-requested 30-day extensions. "The 90 day review process would be for projects that are 50% or more income aligned." (Brandon Rowe). Council members asked about safeguards and whether the council'level hearing remained intact; staff said council retains final authority and that projects still must meet the applicable standards.
