Margaret Gupta, a public commenter who identified herself as "with the Oakland Township," told the legislative affairs committee she had found five corrupted Zoom court hearing records she said were linked to Judge Lisa Langton and that local court and clerk offices have refused to correct the public record.
Gupta said auditors have identified material deficiencies in internal controls and pointed to repeated post-closing revisions that, she said, show a $43,000,000 expenditure increase in the county's CFA accounts. "This is important that you guys are you guys have a 1,300,000,000 budget, and there's no written year end close plan?" she asked. The committee did not take immediate action on her specific allegations during the meeting. Gupta also listed asset underestimates she says appear in county financials, including airport assets of $21,212,000 and drainage of $33,700,000.
