Commissioners plan zoning-ordinance cleanup and ADU standards ahead of state change

"So pretty much a year from now. You know, we will have ADUs in town, by right," the presiding official said, urging the commission to surface all sections related to ADU standards (setbacks, parameters and unclear provisions) so citizens understand the requirements. The official said staff and commissioners should assemble a single document listing all ADU-related ordinance sections to be reviewed.
The commission proposed assigning members to a zoning track and compiling a list of ordinance language and potential text amendments; the aim is to prepare clear standards for the public before the state law takes effect.
