Commissioner Boteau moved to adopt the resolution and a second was recorded; the commission approved the measure by voice vote. "I move to adopt, Planning Commission Resolution Number 26Dash7Dash2, setting the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for fiscal year 2027," the mover said during the motion.
The presiding official explained the intent is to return to a regular cadence of first and third Thursdays and to make it easier to cancel meetings that are not needed rather than publish and staff special meetings. Commissioners said they favored minimizing special meetings because a special meeting requires additional advertising and administrative steps. Staff noted the next scheduled meeting on July 16 is likely to be canceled if the county does not have materials ready for a single-topic review.
