The quote with Cargill has been signed and returned notating that salt has increased from $89.50 a ton to $108.25 a ton," he said. The highway crew will continue truck maintenance, loader service, and cutting trees and brush in road rights-of-way. Hebert also announced longtime employee Jim Miller will retire Dec. 31, 2025.
