She reported 33 in-person visits (June) and said 416 veterans or eligible family members received $801,586 in May under Jackson County enrollment; she also said the office recorded an unusually high 26 decisions in June and that the office currently has 73 open claims.
Ruth said the office has posted an application for volunteer drivers on the county website and has already received five interested applicants; she plans to forward the applications to Iowa City as part of the pilot. Ruth also noted that she and a colleague earned continuing-education credits through NACBSO and that the office now holds national accreditation for the next year.
