ECIA executive director outlines recent county work and partnership plans

May Hinton, executive director of the East Central Intergovernmental Association (ECIA), presented a summary of ECIA work in Jackson County over the past three years and asked the board for feedback on where ECIA could expand support. Hinton said, "I had asked our directors to give me a list of the projects that we've done in Jackson County in the last 3 years," and described ECIA involvement in CDBG projects, aging-in-place work, road planning and housing programs.
Supervisors praised the partnership and said ECIA's technical assistance — for example on zoning code work and planning — has been valuable. Hinton also flagged governance items for future discussion (bylaws and executive committee representation) and outlined plans to increase board engagement and communications.
