The county's secondary roads presenter told the board that railroad crews plan to start work on crossings beginning Nov. 5 on 900th Street and will proceed to Erwin, performing work on crossings that may require one-day closures at each location.
"They want to start on 900th Street tomorrow, which would be November 5," the presenter said. County staff said the railroad does not plan major work on the crossings at M-16 or F-32 but may need to make adjustments there. The county will sign roads in advance of closures and remove signs once crews move to the next location.
Drivers were advised to expect temporary one-day closures on side roads along the corridor and to plan alternate routes when crews are present.
