Selectboard schedules public meeting on proposed Weston zoning bylaw amendments for May 26

Selectboard member Brian Gehlich moved that the town hold a public meeting on proposed amendments to the Weston Zoning Bylaw on May 26, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Office; Pam Dickman seconded the motion and it carried. The board also noted a Planning Commission hearing on the bylaw changes on the same date at 6:30 p.m.
Members briefly discussed Act 181 and acknowledged resistance among some residents; Pam Dickman said there are "a lot of changes that need to be made" and noted many people are not in favor. The board did not take additional action at the meeting beyond setting the public meeting date and encouraging review of the draft bylaw materials ahead of the meeting.
