In addition to major capital and program items, the Santa Cruz County Board of Education approved a suite of routine resolutions and policy readings.
The board supported the CSBA delegate-assembly ballot and adopted recognition resolutions naming March as Disability Awareness Month, Women’s History Month and Arts Education Month. Trustees discussed opportunities to pair announcements with resource links (for example, IEP and 504 information tied to disability-awareness outreach). Several policies in the 1000 and 5000 series were presented as first and second readings, and trustees approved those readings where noted.
These items passed largely by voice or roll-call vote without substantive opposition and will be reflected in the COE’s communications and event calendars.
