Acting Chair announced that two committee members have resigned, reducing the committee’s roster and triggering the council reappointment process. "Jennifer Reeder, who she served for District 4, and then Elizabeth Shirley Graham, who served for District 5, they have both resigned from the committee," the Acting Chair said, explaining the committee needs at least five members to meet.
Committee members asked how vacancies are filled; the Acting Chair said the city council will reappoint members at its second meeting in August and clarified that appointees must live in the city but do not necessarily have to reside in a particular district. She said council members typically select appointees and that residents interested in serving can contact their council representative.
